These funds will support the mission of the BABG 2030 project: to identify and prioritize community needs as well as resources, assets, and partners to guide community development and quality-of-life improvement over the next decade.

I write today to share the sad news of the passing on Saturday of one of our College’s most remarkable members: President Emeritus and Professor Emeritus George Drake ’56. For the great many Grinnellians who knew George Drake, this news will bring great sadness.

I’m passionate about the idea of creating work that lives outside traditional gallery settings — art and design that people encounter in their everyday lives, often without even realizing it at first.
